In a highly regulated environment, it is common for people to vehemently insist certain practices are illegal. How do you decide if that person is right? If they are wrong, how do you convince them to change their view?
This webinar will discuss practical tips for addressing a problem that nearly every lawyer and compliance professional has struggled with, and will explore a number of specific examples, including why the following are wrong:
- “You can’t include any outside medical records when sending in a record.”
- “You must go back six years when doing a voluntary refund for Medicare.”
- “It is illegal for a doctor to do co-marketing with a hospital or device company.”
We have applied for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for this program in Iowa and Minnesota. Please contact Greta Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are an attorney licensed in another state and would like information about obtaining CLE accreditation.
We have also applied for Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) credits through the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® and our application is currently pending their review for approval.
Live webcast participants will receive an email upon program approval for CLE and HCCA credits. This email may come up to 3-4 weeks after the live program.
