Shaadie M. Ali

Shaadie combines experience in law, policy, engineering and nonprofit governance to support clients in energy and related regulatory matters.

Shaadie is part of a team advising utilities, transmission companies and independent power producers on routing, siting, permitting and other regulatory matters before federal, state and local agencies. Shaadie also assists in trial and appellate litigation. His background includes drafting bench memoranda, opinions, motions, appellate briefs and settlement agreements; conducting legal research and compliance monitoring; and developing litigation and settlement strategies.

Before joining Fredrikson, Shaadie served as a judicial clerk for Judge Jeanne Cochran of the Minnesota Court of Appeals and supported the Civil Rights Enforcement Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Before law school, Shaadie worked as an energy consultant and as a nonprofit manager.
