Carlson focuses his practice on energy and public utility law, with expertise in renewable energy permitting, regulatory compliance and complex civil litigation.
He has experience assisting clients across the energy sector navigate evolving regulatory frameworks, secure project approvals and proactively mitigate legal and compliance risks. Carlson counsels a wide range of clients, including public utilities, electric cooperatives, renewable developers and pipeline companies on permitting new infrastructure projects, as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations after commercial operations commence.
