Fredrikson, one of the largest and fastest growing law firms in the region, has moved its Minneapolis office into the 60 South Sixth building, effective today. The firm occupies eight floors in newly renovated space that provides state-of-the-art technology and workspace amenities that allow the firm to continue to provide exceptional and efficient services to clients, while also supporting today’s hybrid work style.

“Our move is a result of our growth and the evolving needs of our clients,” said Fredrikson COO, Ann Rainhart. “Clients need greater innovation than ever before, and a modernized workspace allows us to better serve them. The new space offers our team a greater variety of flexible work, meeting and collaboration spaces where we can come together in hybrid work.”

The new office location is a continued commitment to Minneapolis. “Fredrikson’s decision to stay downtown is intentional,” said John Koneck, Fredrikson president. “We have been located in Minneapolis since our founding in 1948 and we want to be a part of the city’s future. We are excited to contribute to the economic growth of downtown and support other businesses in the area.” Fredrikson’s new office is centrally located for the firm’s Twin Cities-based employees, and near the courts, clients and fellow professional firms.

KBS is the building owner. KBS’ long track record of incorporating amenities that align well with the market, property and tenant base draws in tenants to assets like 60 South Sixth, according to Giovanni (Gio) Cordoves, Western regional president for KBS.

“In the current flight to quality within the office sector, high-caliber tenants like Fredrikson are seeking superior properties that elevate their teams’ working environment and inspire them to be a part of their companies growth,” says Cordoves. “60 South Sixth, with multiple amenities that promote sustainability, productivity and convenience, is among the office buildings of choice for downtown Minneapolis office users today.”

Fredrikson Minneapolis Office Specifications

Fredrikson’s Minneapolis office occupies 158,394 square feet in the Class A building in the Minneapolis Central Business District. The firm’s 564 Minneapolis personnel will utilize a combination of assigned and reserved offices, designed by Architects. Furniture design was provided by Atmosphere Commercial Interiors.

Fredrikson’s new space plan supports a hybrid workstyle with a variety of personal work and collaborative meeting spaces, including offices, conference rooms, team rooms, focus rooms, pantry/lounge areas and wellness rooms on each floor. The firm’s main reception and conference floor provides a variety of meeting spaces for client collaboration and events utilizing state-of-the-art technology to support virtual, in-person and hybrid meetings.

To prepare for the move, Fredrikson engaged all employees in a two-year “Paperlite” campaign. It launched as both a way to support the firm’s hybrid work model with fewer paper files and to promote efficiency and excellent client service through digitizing and minimizing. Through Paperlite, Fredrikson reduced lateral filing cabinet storage by over 1,500 drawers, and over 250,000 pounds of paper was confidentially shred and recycled. Personnel access documents efficiently and securely while working remotely or in office.
