Overview
Jade is a shareholder with Fredrikson's Employment & Labor Group whose practice spans employment litigation, business litigation, and employer-side counseling. Clients turn to Jade as a trusted partner — whether they need strategic guidance on day-to-day employment matters, a tenacious advocate in high-stakes litigation, or experienced counsel to navigate complex business and shareholder disputes.
Jade has particular depth in restrictive covenant litigation, where she helps employers protect their competitive interests in disputes involving non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, as well as trade secret misappropriation. She also defends employers across a full range of single-plaintiff employment matters — including claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, defamation, whistleblower claims, and sexual harassment — in state and federal courts and before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights.
Beyond employment disputes, Jade brings the same results-driven mindset to business litigation, including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract, and related business torts. She works closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop litigation strategies that protect their interests efficiently and effectively.
Jade also partners with employers as a proactive counselor on day-to-day employment issues, helping clients navigate personnel decisions, employee performance and discipline matters, and workplace policies. She prepares and reviews employment contracts, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements — always with an eye toward helping clients manage risk and resolve issues before they escalate.
Prior to joining Fredrikson, Jade served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen A. Mottl of the Tenth Judicial District. After receiving her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for two Magistrate and four Circuit Court Judges in the Unified Judicial System in the Fourth Judicial Circuit of South Dakota.
