Overview

John works to fulfill the intellectual property needs of clients focused on mechanical, electrical and/or biomedical innovation, whether that involves protecting designs and technology, or transferring/acquiring rights thereto.

John is a shareholder in Fredrikson’s Intellectual Property Group. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, counseling clients interested in acquiring, transferring or licensing intellectual property assets, and rendering opinions relating to infringement issues. John also has experience in dealing with trademark and copyright matters. Prior to practicing law, John was a product engineer for a lighting manufacturer, working extensively with Underwriters Laboratories in testing and the listing of new and existing products.
